An Alabama family has an unexpected tenant — and he’s rooting through the yard.
Jamie Watt says a roughly 100-pound potbellied pig wandered onto his property on Jan. 16 and decided to stay. Since then, the hog has torn up grass, built a cozy garden bed, and ignored all polite eviction notices.

“I just want him gone,” Watt told WKRG-TV. “I know the kind of damage they can do, but I can’t get rid of him.”
Animal control says there’s little they can do until the pig’s owner is identified. Watt has searched, asked around, and come up empty.
Meanwhile, the pig appears comfortable. There’s plenty to snack on, and no sign he’s packing up anytime soon.
Watt insists he doesn’t want the animal harmed. He simply wants the rightful owner to step forward — or someone to offer the squatter a new address.
“His rent’s due,” Watt said. “And he needs to go.”
