Bayley’s Seafood Restaurant (Permanently Closed in 2022)
Bayley’s is a seafood restaurant in the Mobile, Alabama, area on the way to Dauphin Island and is the known inventor of the West Indies Salad.West Indies Salad is basically a bowl of crabmeat lightly embellished with oil, vinegar, and onion.
The restaurant offers buttery sautéed crab claws, fried soft-shell crab, crisp-tender crab cakes, and herb-laden crab stuffing piled on top of a blackened fish filet.
Bayley’s is a humble spot, a coffee-ceilinged, tiled-wall seafood restaurant of the old-fashioned that puts the majority of its attention and energy into its food.
Bayley decided to shut down its operation in June 2022.
