An Alabama dog spent days wandering around with a bucket stuck on its head — until a group of locals stepped in.
Photos of the lab mix made the rounds on social media, prompting Eric Bowman and others in Winston County to launch a search. With help from animal trapper Kaleb Estill, they finally tracked the dog down — along with his loyal sidekick, a Belgian Malinois they named Milo.

The rescue came down to a careful snip.
“I came up behind him and started cutting the bucket,” Bowman said. “As soon as it came off, you could see the relief. He just went limp.”
The newly freed pup, now named Buck, is recovering alongside Milo, who never left his side during the ordeal.
Both dogs are being treated by a veterinarian and will be available for adoption soon. Rescuers have one request: keep the duo together.
They’ve already proven they’re a package deal.
