Buc-ee’s, famous for their super clean bathrooms, that BBQ, and friendly beaver mascot, is about to break ground just down the road…
On Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. CDT, they will have a special ceremony to celebrate the beginning of their new place.
This is a big deal because it’s the very first Buc-ee’s in Mississippi!
It will be located at the corner of I-10 and Menge Avenue, and it will be huge – 74,000 square feet big!
They’ll have 120 places to fill up your car with gas and 24 spots to charge electric vehicles (for our Tesla buddies heading West).
And don’t worry, they’ll have all the Buc-ee’s favorites like delicious Texas barbecue, homemade fudge, kolaches, Beaver Nuggets, jerky, and fresh pastries. And, of course, those famous restrooms will be there, too!
Buc-ee’s started in Texas in 1982, and now they have 46 stores in Texas and the South. Since 2019, they’ve expanded to states like Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
Stan Beard from Buc-ee’s is excited about this. He says, “Harrison County is a cool place with five bustling cities and beautiful beaches. It’s right on I-10 between our Texas and Alabama stores, so we’re excited to be the best place to stop on the Mississippi Coast.”
While they’re building this, Buc-ee’s will work closely with local partners. This new Buc-ee’s will create at least 200 full-time jobs, and they’ll start you off with good pay, great benefits, a 401k plan that matches your savings, and three weeks of paid vacation.
It’s going to be awesome!
