Construction on Heroes Plaza, a tribute to the city’s sports legends, has officially started. This $10M project includes statues of famous athletes and upgrades to the downtown waterfront area.

Officer Tylandra Massey, a vigilant school crossing guard, earned the Smiles Behind the Shield Award. You might have noticed her hard at work on Dauphin Island Parkway! 

  • Michigan Ave Railroad Crossing Gets $45K Upgrade 

Work has begun on Michigan Ave’s railroad crossing, expected to last 10 days. The goal is to transform it into a smooth concrete surface. 

  • Woman Jumps Off Balcony to Escape Fire 

She’s okay! Marquila Jones escaped the fire at Maison De Ville, grateful to be unharmed. Residents are now finding new homes. 

  • MoonPie Over Mobile’s VIP Ticket’s Now on Sale 

VIP tickets for MoonPie Over Mobile’s New Year’s Eve event are up for grabs. This special offering marks the celebration’s 50th Anniversary of Hip-Hop in Downtown Mobile.
