The University of South Alabama Board of Trustees made a huge decision last Tuesday.
They voted to buy Providence Hospital for a whopping $85 million!
They seem determined to become the dominant force in local healthcare.
With that added to their belt, they sure are on their way.
The university is on a roll, growing from seven clinics in 2016 to over 30 clinics and hospitals in and around Mobile Bay in less than a decade.
Needless to say, they are crushing it.
Who knows what USA’s next big move will be?
I can see Whiddon College of Medicine rising in the ranks of America’s best medical schools.
Maybe they’ll even start a super futuristic hospital with robot doctors and nurses.
Only time will tell!
All I know is that with this transition, we Mobile residents can rest assured that we will have easy access to high-quality medical care in the future.
We don’t have to travel outside of the state to get the best services because it’s already here!
