Based on the amount of excitement we see every time someone posts about it, we think so.
I mean, we have been to half a dozen of them (we even purchase a shopping back from the different locations to keep as a sort of souvenir).
So we would shop there in Mobile as well.
And based on your responses, we think you would as well!

Why Trader Joe’s Would Be Great for Mobile
- Fun Shopping: Trader Joe’s stores are known for being bright and cheerful. Shopping there is more fun than at regular grocery stores.
- Good Prices: You can find tasty foods that are different from other stores, and they don’t cost too much.
- Party Snacks: Trader Joe’s has lots of snacks (we buy the same ones every time I visit).
- Healthy Choices: They sell many healthy foods that actually taste good.
- Local Flavors: Trader Joe’s might make special foods just for Alabama, like a barbecue sauce.
A Good Spot: Government Street and Broad Street
The old CVS at Government Street and Broad Street would be a great place for Trader Joe’s.
Here’s why:
- Easy to Get To: It’s in the middle of the city, so many people can shop there.
- Fits In: Hopefully Trader Joe’s would work with the city to make a solid look that would fit in with the historic district.
- Busy Streets: Lots of people drive by this spot every day.
- Help the Area: A new store here could make other businesses want to open nearby.
- Enough Parking: There’s plenty of room for cars in the old CVS parking lot. I mean, not really, but it would work — people would also walk and bike to this location.
Another great spot might be the previous Whole Foods that closed down.
The space might be a bit large for a traditional Trader Joe’s, but there would be plenty of parking.

A Trader Joe’s in Mobile would be more than just a new store. It would be a fun place to shop and meet people. It would fit right in with our friendly city.
