The SS United States, once an iconic ocean liner, will be transformed into the world’s largest artificial reef in the Gulf of Mexico near Destin, Florida, after preparations in Mobile, Alabama.

Alabama welcomed nearly 29 million visitors in a record-breaking year, with top destinations including Baldwin, Jefferson, Mobile, Madison, and Montgomery counties. Tourism generated $23.5 billion in spending, supported 245,500 jobs, and continues to drive economic growth and pride across the state.

Volunteers from Colors of Love Ministry distributed over 400 bags filled with food, toiletries, blankets, and other essentials to underserved individuals in downtown Mobile. 

The Mobile City Council is reviewing updates to ordinances on panhandling, loitering, and sidewalk obstructions to modernize policies and improve public safety. 

Dauphin Way Baptist Church celebrated its 120th anniversary with a special service that brought together generations of members to honor its legacy of faith, community, and resilience.
