IN THIS WEEK’S RUNDOWN – Savannah Bananas, Billy Strings, and Vera Bradley Tote Bags

And they’re back, Mobile! The city’s recycling drop-off centers at 4851 Museum Drive and 310 Pinehill Drive will be reopening on Thursday, April 1, and will be resuming their normal operations of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday and 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

Great news for all you recyclers out there!

On March 31, the Mobile City Council also approved the funding for upgrades at the Michael Figures Park and Medal of Honor Park. Guess we’ll be seeing more additions geared towards adding to the continuing improvement of our quality of life. We cannot thank you enough, Mobile.

Let’s go to the Savannah Bananas game over the weekend! The event had back-to-back sellout crowds and the atmosphere couldn’t have been better. This was of course still following the safety protocols related to Covid-19.

Man, it feels great to have hosted the Banana’s “One City World Tour”! It is with such pride that we can say that Mobilians do not disappoint!

Check out this video from the Savannah Bananas Page. Oh wow! You guys rock!

On Tuesday, the newly constructed Roundabout at the intersection of Broad Street and Canal Street officially opened for traffic.

This beautiful new traffic feature is set to enhance safety for vehicles and pedestrians, improve traffic flow and save taxpayer dollars by reducing maintenance costs. Safe ride everyone!

Busted in Mobile (Bay)

Mobilians love to help. This is a story of a Mobile native who wanted to do something following last year’s racial tensions.
And since she loves fashion, she is using just that to make a difference. Check out Victoria Williams journey as she approached handbag and luggage company Vera Bradley about creating a bag that symbolizes unity.
