Just like Gulf Shores has Waterville and Foley has OWA, our county is gearing up to join the waterpark fun with a thrilling addition of our own!
The Mobile County Commission has been in serious discussions with an experienced company that knows how to build top-notch waterparks.
While the company’s name is still under hush-hush, rest assured that they’re about to bring fun to our community.
Those who want to take a break from the beach can:
Zip down exhilarating water slides…
Cool off in refreshing pools…
Explore retail spaces filled with summer goodies…
Boy, the kids are already putting on their arm floaties!
But this isn’t just about having a blast — it’s about putting Mobile on the map as an unbeatable entertainment destination.
With families visiting for soccer tournaments, adding a water wonderland will take our area’s fun factor to new heights.
This was initially meant to enhance the overall appeal of the sportsplex off of Halls Mill Road.
The negotiations have reached an advanced stage, and a deal could be just weeks away.
The proposed waterpark would occupy 50 acres of land and could feature exciting attractions like zip lines.
To support the project, the county is considering providing incentives such as water and sewer hookups and road improvements.
The costs would be relatively low, as the county is already working on infrastructure development to serve a planned swimming center on the site.
It looks like everything is falling neatly into place!
