Between Mardi Gras and the numerous music and food festivals throughout the year, it’s pretty obvious we like to have a good time in Mobile.
And the fun doesn’t stop when the sun sets on Mobile Bay thanks to the extended closing time at 2 am and the Dauphin Street entertainment district. Let’s take a peek inside some of the best spots for nightlife in downtown Mobile.
And after your big night out, you’ll probably want to visit one of our top brunch spots in Mobile. #doMobile!

O’Daly’s Irish Pub
Celebrate the luck of the Irish every night at O’Daly’s Irish Pub located on Dauphin Street. The popular pub is home to two other hot spots: Draft Picks Tap Room and The Dauphin Street Blues Company.
Post Crafted Cocktails and Wine Bar
The newest kid on the block (quite literally) is the cocktail and wine bar Post. This bar is quickly becoming a local favorite with its handcrafted specialty spirits, event gatherings and drink specials.
OK Bicycle Shop
Fill up before your night out with a visit to OK Bicycle Shop. This downtown mainstay offers diners an eclectic menu of Mexican, sushi and vegan options. Sit and sip in the restaurant’s inviting courtyard.
Alchemy Tavern
Alchemy Tavern has a little bit of everything every night of the week including video game tournaments, DJ nights and karaoke. The bar has over 40 beers on tap and offers happy hour specials throughout the week.
The Haberdasher
With a solid atmosphere and social buzz, The Hab (as many locals refer to it) is a great place to go for a cocktail. It’s one of the bars in town that hires true mixologists for their staff. Here’s a local hint: The Haberdasher has some of the best small food plates in town. Just order at the kitchen window.

Firehouse Wine Bar and Shop
If a glass of wine is more your thing then stop by Firehouse Wine Bar and Shop located in the former Mobile Hook & Ladder Company No. 1 building. Firehouse offers a wide selection of wine by the glass and bottle as well as craft beer. Their popular wine flight allows you to sample various grapes from several different regions.
B-Bob’s Downtown
B-Bob’s Downtown has been entertaining visitors for over 26 years with the best drag performers and DJs. B-Bob’s has drink specials during the week and hosts bingo nights on Tuesdays.
Veet’s Bar
Veet’s Bar has been home to musicians from across the country for over 20 years. Open seven days week, the bar offers happy hour specials and live music almost every night.
Wet Willie’s
Summer is coming up fast and what better way to cool off those sweltering nights than with a delicious daiquiri? Wet Willie’s has several daiquiri flavors to choose from including Margarita, Strawberry, Pina Colada and fan favorite Call a Cab. The daiquiri destination also offers a menu filled with delicious pub fare food.
There are also certain monthly evenings that are particularly fun for nightlife in Mobile AL.
The Icebox
The Icebox is one of the newer bar venues in town and is included in our downtown neighborhood bar scene. It is unique because it was converted from an old ice factory (you can still see the machinery on the roof) into a local neighborhood bar. It’s a part of our nightlife in Mobile AL. You may even see their previous slogan around – “Have an Ice Day!”

Special Event Nights
LoDa Art Walk
Held on the second Friday of every month, the Mobile Arts Council’s LoDa Art Walk is the perfect opportunity to stroll the streets of downtown Mobile. Artists and vendors display their work in Bienville Square as musicians serenade the people passing by. Dauphin Street is a designated entertainment district so visitors are allowed to carry drinks from local bars.
With so many entertainment options available it’s easy to see why downtown Mobile is becoming the South’s best hotspot for nightlife. From music, trivia, breweries, food and drinks the Port City has something for everyone. So come on out and enjoy a bit of our nightlife in downtown Mobile Alabama. Get out and #doMobile!
