Boy, it really does.
Having earned over $2 million in scholarships and getting accepted into 82 colleges, the future looks bright for young Dave Lewis.
Proud mom Wendolyn Mose can’t contain her excitement over her son’s accomplishment.
“Mama, I’m at this many,” Dave would tell his mother as the acceptance letters kept pouring in.
It’s no surprise that Wendolyn is over the moon.
Dave has always been a good student, with good manners to boot, and doesn’t get into any trouble.
And he’s an incredibly hard worker, even holding a full-time job at Walmart while attending high school.
Although Dave enjoys his fair share of downtime, he’s not one to just sit around playing video games.
Instead, he spends his free time honing his photography skills and even took some senior portraits for his classmates.
He hopes to own his own photography business one day.
Get it Dave!
Dave’s mom attributes his success to his determination, which she has imparted to the child.
She has always told him that life is not without its challenges — you need to sow your seeds and wait for them to flourish.
While Wendolyn would love for Dave to attend an HBCU and inspire others, she understands that the decision is ultimately his.
Right now, he’s taking his time and weighing his options carefully.
We hope he can take comfort in the knowledge that he has already accomplished so much.
Congrats, Dave, on a truly remarkable achievement!
