A local charity organization, Helping Hands Ministry and Emergency Food Pantry, is making a big impact by providing essential assistance to those in need.
Executive Director Nanda Morris and her team have been tirelessly delivering over a thousand bags of groceries to the less fortunate throughout the year.
They focus on the homebound, homeless, and hungry folks who are unable to visit traditional food pantries.
Recognizing the ongoing need for assistance, the organization has designated July as a month to collect household cleaning supplies.
On July 29, they have organized a special grocery giveaway even at an RV park at Semmes, reaching out to underserved communities that often go neglected.
During the event, not only will cleaning supplies be distributed, but also other essential items like fresh produce and regular groceries.
Some of the requested items for donations right now include:
- Dish Soap
- Laundry Detergent
- Bathroom Cleaning Supplies
- Paper Towels
