The Jags opened season play at home against SIUE, winning 5-2 on Valentine’s Day.
The following day Kent State came into Stanky Field 1-0 but left 1-1 after losing to the Jags 5-3.
EKU then rolled into Jags country hoping to get their first win of the season but those hopes were quickly dashed. The Jags run-ruled EKU 12-2 in the first game and outlasted EKU in the second game, 2-1.
The Jags have outscored their opponents so far 24-8. They are traveling to Birmingham on Friday for a 3 game road trip against UAB. They return to Stanky on Tuesday to face New Orleans with the opening pitch scheduled for 6:30pm.
