Hey hey Mobile! So much is happening around town! From development projects to concerts to art. You name it!
The Mobile Fire Rescue Department held a “Ladies’ Night” . A number of women from our community who were interested in going through the routines that MFRD recruits go through in training stepped out for this event!
I see our ladies working hard! These ladies might want to go check this list for chiropractors to loosen up those hardworking bodies after.
Did you catch some of the events in Downtown Mobile last Friday night? With the Artwalk, The Festival of Flowers, and the Roll Mobile, it was sure to bring in the fun for everyone’s night. We thought it was a great idea, Mobile. Thanks for turning Bienville Square into a skating rink, one of our favorite past times.
Rumor has it that we might be planning to do this every Artwalk. Please let this be true, as I’m buying my skates now.
Shout out to Davidson High School senior Reginald Turner, who has been accepted into The Juilliard School for dance.
Davidson and its Kinetics Dance Company will now have two former students at Juilliard, where Turner will join recent DHS graduate Tyrone Reese. Julliard, one of the most prestigious dance schools in the world, only accepts 24 dancers a year.
Awesome job, Man!
Broad Street is closed. This is to give way to the Broad Street Redevelopment Project that is continuing to move forward! This closure is gonna last into late summer so here’s a map to help you plan out trips to Broad Street since the businesses on Broad Street, Dauphin Street and Old Shell Road will remain open and accessible to the public.
As of 03/19/21, we saw plenty on social media about the way the roads were closed. There wasn’t warning. Drivers basically were met head on with the closures and had to figure out how to turn around. Couple that with our normal Friday traffic and the increased beach traffic and you have — GRIDLOCK! We are hoping for a swift completion. My advice? Avoid the area on Friday afternoon until complete.

Busted in Mobile (Bay)
This time, we’ve busted someone who is working for the city. It was reported that Tony Ebright, with our Public Works Department, was caught doing something good!
So great that the mother of the child who Ebright assisted, even emailed her gratitude to Mayor Stimpson.
her 6-year-old daughter dropped an iPod into an inlet near St. Dominic Catholic Church last week, she was unable to retrieve it herself and called the City’s 311 services to get some help.
Within a few minutes, Tony Ebright was there to save the day!
Check out who else got busted in Mobile, AL.
