‘Tis the season, and Mobile is gearing up for it, while keeping safety protocols in place of course! Despite all of the craziness and controversy, our goal is to make your holiday season as bright, and as less hectic, as possible! So, pull your family together, and gather around to explore all the wonderful things Mobile has in store this holiday season:
Magic Christmas in Lights at Bellingrath Gardens
Magic Christmas in Lights at Bellingrath Gardens and Home is a Gulf Coast holiday tradition celebrating 25! The gardens span over 65 acres and were the creation of Bessie Bellingrath. Her husband, Walter Bellingrath, was the first Coca-Cola bottler in the SouthEast, and originally bought the land as a summer fishing estate. Soon, Bessie came with him and transformed the grounds into the beautiful gardens they are today! All funds from the gardens go towards scholarships for local students. The show opens its doors on November 27 and runs through December 31st, and features over 3 million lights! Snacks will be on sale during the event, and Bellingrath Gardens is always glad to welcome you home for the holidays!
The Wharf’s Winter Wonderland
The Wharf is famous for its contagious holiday spirit! Every year, the wharf hosts pictures with Santa, ice skating, and the North Pole Express. Join them for a magical day full of fun and laughter on any Saturday during November and December! They encourage children to wear their favorite jammies on their round trip ride aboard the North Pole Express. After the train ride on the North Pole Express is over, children will be given a candy cane, coloring book, and a special golden ticket! Don’t forget to grab a picture with Santa or continue to take a walk through the winter wonderland for as long as you’d like!
Holiday Horse and Carriage Rides
The Wharf is also hosting holiday Horse and Carriage Rides for the whole family to enjoy! The rides will begin on November 29th and continue to place on select days throughout December. So saddle-up and spend an enchanting evening under the stars as you are pulled along in a horse drawn carriage. You’ll want to have your camera ready as you gaze at the holiday lights and decorations with your loved ones! Carriages are $25 and fit up to six adults and children are welcome to ride in their parents’ laps. We can’t wait to hear about your enchanting experience!
Holiday Celebrations at the Bragg-Mitchell Mansion
