Our scenic Alabama Gulf Coast isn’t just a beachy paradise; it’s a fantastic movie set, too!
And guess what?
This Halloween season is getting a classic Stephen King nod.
Gulf Coast Media spilled the beans that filmmaker Mike Flanagan is scouring the local scene for extras.
He’s kind of a big deal, and he isn’t new to the eerie world of Mr. King.
He’s the brain behind Gerald’s Game and Doctor Sleep.
Plus, he’s developing a series based on The Dark Tower for Amazon Studios.
Now, this new movie is an adaptation of the short story “The Life of Chuck.”
It’s going to feature Thor star Tom Hiddleston and Star Wars legend Mark Hamill!
Come October 16, the cameras start rolling, and the action kicks off, continuing for a fun-filled four weeks.
This is where YOU come in.
The local casting crew is on the hunt for 1,000 extras!
As long as you’re over 11, there’s a spot for you.
Much of these crowd scenes will be shot in Baldwin County.
So, if you’ve ever fancied a small stint on the big screen, here’s your call.
If you’re wondering what this movie’s about, here’s a sneak peak:
This story unfolds Charles Krantz’s life in a flashback fashion through three intertwined tales.
It kicks off with his death and rewinds all the way back to his spooky childhood in a haunted house.
Intriguing!
