Free Driving Lessons For Citizens Due to Roundabout Confusion

In a shocking move by city officials, it was announced that all Mobile city citizens would receive free driving lessons.

The reason?

The city has decided to install mega amounts of roundabouts throughout the town (here are the latest projects).

Citizens were quoted saying things like, “what is that?” and “do I drive over it?”

Apparently, the citizens need to learn how to drive around them.

[Come on, folks. It’s like a merry-go-round for cars. It’s supposed to be fun! But I digress…]

According to an undocumented city spokesperson, the decision was made after numerous complaints from drivers stuck in the middle of roundabouts, trying to figure out how to proceed. “We realized that we needed to do something to help our citizens navigate these confusing traffic circles,” the spokesperson stated.

The city will partner with a local driving school to provide the lessons free of charge to all residents. The driving school will teach the proper technique for entering, navigating, and exiting roundabouts and how to yield to other drivers and pedestrians.

Who knows, maybe they’ll even teach us some fancy tricks, like how to do a 360 spin in the middle of a roundabout.

While some citizens have welcomed the news, others are less than thrilled. “I’ve been driving for 30 years, and I don’t need a lesson on how to drive through a roundabout,” grumbled one super old guy.

“This is just another example of government overreach. And hey, I’m not old. 80 is the new 50. But I’m super, thanks for asking.”

However, city officials remain steadfast in their decision. “We want to ensure the safety of all citizens on our roads, including properly navigating roundabouts,” the unidentified spokesperson emphasized.

“We believe that these free driving lessons will go a long way in achieving that goal.”

The lessons will begin next month, and city officials urge all residents to take advantage of this unique opportunity.

“It’s not every day that you get the chance to improve your driving skills for free,” the spokesperson added.

“We hope that our citizens will embrace this opportunity with clear eyes and full hearts. If we do that, we know we can’t lose.”
