Since 2019, Fostering Together Gulf Coast has provided services to Alabama Gulf Coast foster and adoptive families and children in foster care.
Founded in response to a shortage of services and resources for foster families, the organization now supports over 250 households and more than 700 children.
Approximately 2,000 children’s goods are distributed each month from their foster care center in Mobile, at 3251 Old Shell Road.
Fun-filled activities and supportive services are also part of the annual offerings of Fostering Together.
Donations of new and slightly used clothes, shoes, baby gear, and other supplies for newborns to teenagers are gratefully accepted by Fostering Together.
These products, including diapers, wipes, and children’s hygiene items, are much welcomed.
Fostering Together offers the community many options to assist children in need while educating them about the foster care system.
Groups can join in a variety of annual events and weekly volunteer activities.
To maintain their resource center supplied with resources for the families they assist, they acknowledge the numerous churches, schools, and companies who organize contribution drives.
You may call them at 251-241-3116 if you’d like to organize a donation drive for your group.
For more information on how you may become involved as a volunteer, check out their website.
Everyone has a role in making foster care successful.
