Airbus’ total investment in the region will exceed $2 billion, underscoring their commitment to Mobile County.

And of the $20 million in total cash incentives from the county and the city, a substantial $5 million will be dedicated to empowering the local workforce through development programs.

This investment will strengthen the existing partnership between Airbus and the Mobile County Public School System and local colleges.

The commissioners voiced their praises. Commissioner Randall Dueitt, who had expressed concerns about job opportunities for Mobile County residents, was especially appreciative of the Airbus executives’ efforts to address his worries.

Overall, this collaboration holds the promise of creating a thriving ecosystem of skilled employment, training opportunities, and long-term benefits for us locals.

Airbus anticipates a workforce of over 2,000 Mobilians by 2029!
