United Way Fun Day & Departmental Dance-off Competition
March 10 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
The United Way Fun Day is an exciting event presented by the United Way of Southwest Alabama and the City of Mobile on March 10th from 12pm to 2pm in Mardi Gras Park. The event is open to the public and children are welcome to attend. Attendees can enjoy lawn games, free snacks, and music provided by DJ Dirty Dan & DJ Rodski on the 1’s and 2’s.
One of the highlights of the event is the City Departmental Dance-off Competition, where dance teams made up of 4 to 8 people compete against each other. To participate, teams must register before the deadline of February 25th at 5pm by contacting Janea Ivory at 251.208.7852 or emailing her at janea.ivory@cityofmobile.org. Teams must submit their song selection at the time of registration, and only “clean versions” of songs are permitted.
Guests will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite dance team, and the team that wins 1st place will receive a trophy and a special catered lunch. The event will be hosted by Joshua Jones, with the Youth Violence Prevention Coordinator. It promises to be a fun-filled day for all who attend, so mark your calendars and come out to Mardi Gras Park on March 10th.
