Silversmithing II

April 25 @ 10:00 am 4:00 pm

This advanced metalsmithing class is designed for students who are already comfortable with basic metalworking techniques and are ready to expand their skills. Participants will learn how to safely use a hand torch and flex shaft while exploring techniques such as creating open-back pendants, sweat soldering embellishments onto pendants and earrings, crafting various ring styles, tube setting, and experimenting with alternative bail types.

Students will be encouraged to apply their knowledge to develop original designs, receiving guidance and approval from the instructor throughout the process. The workshop fee includes materials such as solder, saw blades, 3M polishing wheels, and patinas.

All necessary tools will be provided by the instructor. Participants are advised to wear closed-toe shoes and tie back long hair. While not required, Optivisors can be helpful. This hands-on, stress-free workshop offers a great opportunity to practice advanced techniques and create unique, personalized pieces.

Those interested can register through the provided link and may reach out to the instructor directly at matinnasdesigns@gmail.com with any questions.
