December 7 @ 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm
The Lights, Camera, Christmas show offers a unique twist on holiday entertainment, steering clear of clichéd snow-filled scenes and predictable cheer. Inspired by classic films cherished by the Keen family, this year’s theme draws from iconic movies like Pretty Woman, Pulp Fiction, and The Big Lebowski. Robert Earl Keen and his band will perform familiar tracks from these films, complemented by a selection of their favorite holiday songs.
The evening wouldn’t be complete without the crowd-favorite “Merry Christmas From The Family,” a humorous anthem celebrating the chaos of family gatherings. For those less inclined toward holiday cheer, the band also promises to deliver non-holiday hits from Keen’s repertoire. With 90 minutes of music and storytelling, attendees can set aside the usual holiday obligations and enjoy a night of entertainment.
From Robert Earl Keen
“As we approach the holiday season this year, I’m so proud to bring back our iconic Merry Christmas From The Family show! Christmas is built around three key pillars: the Spirit of Christmas, Family, and Music.
The Spirit of Christmas isn’t just about the holiday itself but the season leading up to it—dressing up, singing songs, and embracing a bit of cheekiness. Our goal is to give the gift of holiday spirit to our fans, so they leave feeling inspired to share that joy with others.
Family is a sacred part of the season, as highlighted in my song, Merry Christmas From The Family. This year’s Lights, Camera, Christmas theme celebrates the memories of families coming together to watch classic films.
Finally, music ties it all together. While traditional Christmas shows often feature standard holiday tunes, we mix it up by including non-traditional songs alongside our own classics. This year’s theme bridges decades of cinematic moments to create a unique, shared experience as we sing along together.
Over the years, we’ve explored themes like Country Gold and Lunar Tunes and Looney Times. We believe this year’s Lights, Camera, Christmas! will resonate with everyone who joins us for the journey.”
