The Mobile Arts Council will host the Release Party for We Did it First: Anthology of Mobile Poets on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. in the Mobile Arts Council Gallery, Room 1927. This special event celebrates the powerful voices of the region through an anthology featuring the work of more than 50 local literary artists, curated by Mobile’s Inaugural Poet Laureate, Charlotte Pence.
Each poem, story, and even the cover design reflects the rich cultural tapestry of Mobile, offering a glimpse into both shared traditions and individual perspectives that shape Southern identity. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with featured writers, listen to live readings, and support the city’s thriving literary and arts scene.
