PUPPET ARTS THEATER: TRICKSTER TALES STARRING ANANSI THE SPIDER

Join the Puppet Arts Theater on Jan. 28, 2023, from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. at the Mobile Museum of Art. The program is a professional touring theatre company offering an exciting variety of outstanding programs introducing children of all ages to classical music, theater, and puppetry. To best reflect the content, each show offers a different style of presentation. Find out about Anansi’s plotting and scheming when Puppet Arts Theatre presents “Trickster Tales starring Anansi the Spider.” This 45-minute performance, written by Heidi Rugg of Barefoot Puppets, features Anansi the Spider in two traditional folk tales of the Beluba and Ashanti peoples. In addition to Anansi, the audience will meet Elephant, Hippo, Namibi the Python, Osebo the Leopard, a swarm of angry hornets, and an even angrier Sky-God! The event is free.
