MOJO Jazz Jambalaya: 2023 Jazzalea Award

The Mystic Order of the Jazz Obsessed (MOJO) will honor Dr. Joseph C. Mitchell with its 2023 Jazzalea Award for his lifetime in service to jazz in the Mobile area. Guest speakers will appear. Bassist Harry Anderson has assembled a quintet of Southern University’s finest musicians to perform. The event is al fresco, in the parking lot beside Central Arts Collective (1260 Dauphin St.), so bring your own lawn chair. BYOB and picnics allowed. Food truck availability possible.
Entrance is $15, $10 for MOJO members. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will move indoors.
