Mobile County District Attorney’s Office – Resource Fair and Victims’ Remembrance Vigil

March 22, 2021 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

National Crime Victims’ Rights Week is observed each April to promote victims’ rights and honor crime victims and those who advocate on their behalf. This is an opportunity for victims to have their voices heard and to be surrounded by families who are experiencing the same challenges they are. This year’s theme—Support Victims. Build Trust. Engage Communities.—emphasizes the importance of leveraging community support to help victims of crime. Criminal justice and victim service professionals, businesses, healthcare providers, educators, policymakers, houses of worship, and a host of other social and civic groups can work together to ensure that survivors of crime receive the holistic services and support they need. This not only helps the individual heal, but it also improves community safety and wellbeing.

If you have lost a loved one due to violence, we invite you to bring a picture that will be placed on a remembrance board and to participate in a butterfly release. Even if you are not a victim, we ask that you still join us in solidarity as we support those who have lost so much.
