MBG INVITES YOU TO ITS GOLDEN BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION: Mobile Botanical Gardens (MBG) will celebrate its 50th anniversary on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at 6 pm with a festive night in the magical surroundings of the Gardens in spring. Music by the regionally well-known Jimmy Roebuck Jazz Trio (Buddy DuBourg – keyboard, Joe Morris – string bass, Jimmy Roebuck – percussion) will fill the air. A delicious cocktail buffet by Georgia Roussos Catering, craft beer by Braided River Brewing Company, wine, a signature cocktail by Woodford Reserve, and a 50th birthday cake by Lacey Lane Designs will be savored by all. Attire is business casual. This ticketed fundraiser event ($106 per person, reflecting MBG’s 106 acres) also celebrates the successful establishment of a $1,000,000 MBG endowment after the gardens almost closed in the fall of 2019 due to lack of funding. https://mobilebotanicalgardens.org/50th-birthday-2024/
