MIND MATTERS: A WORKSHOP FOR TEENS, PRE-TEENS, AND THEIR PARENTS.
March 18 - March 19
All the way from Portland, Oregon, speaker and founder of Speak Out PDX, Lauren Wilson, will be joining us for a weekend of conversations surrounding mental health. We are hosting a parent workshop and youth event, both of which are free and open to all.
On Saturday morning, March 18th, our Mind Matters Parent Workshop will be in Moore Hall from 9:00am-12:00pm. This workshop is also a great resource for adults who work with pre-teens and teenagers. The form to register is linked above. Everyone in attendance is encouraged to bring a journal and pen for note taking.
Sunday evening, March 19th, all 6th-12th graders in Mobile and surrounding areas are invited to our Mind Matters Youth Event from 5:00pm-7:00pm. We will be in Moore Hall with a reception in McGowin Hall to follow. Our time will open in worship before Lauren leads us in a message centered on Jesus, mental health, and the Church. The evening will wrap up with a reception in McGowin Hall with refreshments. Lauren will be available to meet and greet students. A table with Speak Out apparel, workbooks, and other resources will be available for purchase.
