Lords of the Ring

Lords of the Ring May 6 at 7:30pm May 7 at 2:30pm André Raphel, guest conductor We contrast Howard Shore’s brilliant score to Lord of the Rings with orchestral highlights from Richard Wagner’s Ring Cycle. Works include The Ride of the Walkyrie and Siegfried’s Rhine Journey, as well as music from Lord of the Rings: Return of the King, the Two Towers and Fellowship of the Ring.  Tickets are $20, $25, $33, $45, $65 and $89 and can be purchased online at www.mobilesymphony.org, by phone at 251-432-2010, or at the symphony box office, 257 Dauphin Street. Tickets are not available at the Saenger box office. Student tickets are $10. Through the MSO Big Red Ticket program sponsored by Alabama Power, students in grades K-12 can attend the Sunday performance free when accompanied by a paying adult. More details at www.mobilesymphony.org.
