Hope Community 5K – Our Roots Run Deep!

Hope Community, in collaboration with the Mobile Bay Maker’s Market, is proud to announce the first annual Our Roots Run Deep 5K fundraiser, taking place on January 4, 2025, at the historic Anna T. Jeanes school property. Participants are invited to lace up their running shoes for this exciting event, which supports community development while promoting healthy lifestyles and outdoor recreation.
After completing the run or walk, attendees can enjoy a day filled with delicious food, live music, and the opportunity to explore booths showcasing the talents of local makers and growers beneath the property’s beautiful oak trees.
Proceeds from race registrations will directly support the creation of a healthy teaching farm, kitchen, community center, and gardens in the Fairhope South neighborhood. With just 200 square feet of garden bed capable of producing a season’s worth of fresh produce for one person, your contribution helps foster unity, education, and well-being within the community.
Race Highlights and Awards:
- Awards for the top overall male and female runners.
- Recognition for the top three male and female finishers in the following age groups:
- 9 & under
- 10-14
- 15-19
- 20-29
- 30-39
- 40-49
- 50-59
- 60-69
- 70 & over
Waiver and Guidelines:
Participants should ensure they are medically able and properly trained before entering the race. By registering, participants accept full responsibility for their safety and agree to abide by race officials’ decisions. Certain items, including bicycles, skateboards, baby joggers, roller skates or blades, animals, and radio headsets, are prohibited on the 5K course.
