GULF COAST CHINESE LANTERN FESTIVAL

Bellingrath Gardens & Home will host the Inaugural Gulf Coast Chinese Lantern Festival from Thursday, April 17 through Sunday, June 15, 2025, with festivities taking place nightly from 5 to 10 p.m. During this limited-time event, the Gardens will be transformed into a dazzling showcase of light, color, and culture.
As evening falls, the estate will become a radiant dreamscape featuring 41 towering, handcrafted light sculptures, each glowing with vivid hues and artistic detail. These luminous installations will guide guests through an enchanting journey of illuminated plants, animals, and mythical creatures—each telling a unique story that merges centuries-old Chinese tradition with modern creativity.
Many of the displays are interactive, inviting visitors to dance with animated figures, play games, and immerse themselves in the whimsical atmosphere. This family-friendly event offers a rare blend of cultural wonder and hands-on fun for guests of all ages.
Ticket prices range from $21 to $36 for adults, $17 to $32 for children ages 5 to 12, and $2 for children 4 and under.
