Corey Holcomb
September 14 @ 8:00 pm – 10:00 pm
Corey Holcomb’s journey from hanging out in the neighborhood to performing comedy on Jay Leno’s “Tonight Show” showcases his comedic talent, which effortlessly crosses class and racial boundaries. If you understand English, Corey’s humor is sure to resonate. His comedy connects with audiences worldwide, particularly through the relatable challenges of making relationships work. According to Corey, the dynamic of a “hunter” (man) being captured by his “prey” (woman) creates some of the best comedy ever.
Corey provides plenty of advice on how men who feel they’ve experienced a “hostile takeover” in their relationships can regain control. His unique brand of relationship advice and remedies, delivered from the stage, is unlike anything offered by traditional counselors.
Corey Holcomb’s comedy set is both an auditory and visual experience, with his expressive facial gestures alone capable of sending audiences into fits of laughter. “I spend a lot of time practicing my stage faces because I need to be able to convey care and concern while I criticize,” Corey shares. Despite his long and diverse list of achievements, Corey remains humble and approachable.
Currently, Corey tours the country performing stand-up comedy and his Comedy/R&B songs. He also hosts his own podcast, The Corey Holcomb 5150 Show, which started on The Foxxhole and later moved to YouTube and CoreyHolcomb.com. Additionally, Corey can be seen bringing humor to the big screen in his role as ‘Boonie’ on Adult Swim’s TV series “Black Jesus.”
