Bayou Half Marathon and 4 Miler

The community is invited to support a toy drive benefiting children at USA Children’s and Women’s Hospital and the Child Advocacy Center in Mobile, AL. Donations of new, unwrapped toys or distraction items such as coloring books, puzzles, and craft kits for children from infancy to 18 years are welcome. Contributions can be brought to the race for collection.

Location:
The event begins and ends in the heart of Bayou la Batre, near the intersection of Shell Belt Road and Alabama’s Coastal Connection.

Distance:
Participants can choose from a USATF-certified half marathon course (AL22056JE) or a 4-mile course (AL22052JE).

Registration:
Pre-registration is available:

• By mail (postmarked by December 9)
• In person at McCoy Outdoor, Run-N-Tri, or Fleet Feet in Mobile until noon on December 5
• Online until 6 a.m. on December 6

Early packet pick-up and registration will take place on Friday, December 6, from noon to 5:30 p.m. at the PCP office (358 Morgan Ave, Mobile, AL 36606).
Race day registration and packet pick-up will occur from 6:30 to 7:45 a.m. at the race site. Race day fees will increase, so early registration is encouraged.

Awards:
Half Marathon

• Top 3 male and female Overall
• Top male and female Masters, Grandmasters, Senior Grandmasters, and race walkers
• Top 3 male and female finishers in 5-year age groups
• Finishers’ medals for all Half Marathon participants

4-Miler

• Top male and female Overall, Masters, Grandmasters, Senior Grandmasters, and race walkers
• Top 2 male and female finishers in 5-year age groups

Shirts:
Participants who pre-register by November 23, 2024, are guaranteed a long-sleeved race shirt.

Post-Race Party:
Racers can enjoy food and beverages after the event.

Course Restrictions:
Participants must complete the half marathon or 4-mile course within three hours due to police restrictions. After this time, police protection and race officials will no longer be present on the course.
