Bama-Q Grilling Series 2022 – Grilling at the Fort

Beginning in 2021, Bama-Q along with Alabama Coasting joined the Steak Cookoff Association (SCA) and created the Bama-Q Grilling Challenge Series. Eight Food Sport events set in select cities from Las Vegas to Gulf Shores. These competitions feature some of he best grill masters in the country and will be broadcast across the Bama-Q TV network of independent channels, streaming services, and digital programs. Grilling at the Fort is a fully sanctioned Steak Cook-off Association (SCA) event that draws cook teams from all over the country working the grills and vying for cash, trophies, SCA and Bama-Q points races and most importantly – bragging rights. The day will consist of a double steak cook-off with a single ancillary competition featuring beef taco and a “Kids’Q Poek Chop. For more information and to register for the go to: www.steakoffs.com. In addition to watching these grill masters in action, attendees to this free, family-friendly event will enjoy shopping at our local vendors market, cooking demonstrations and sampling some local food offerings. Of course, the restaurants and bars of the Fort Park will also be offering specials throughout the day and live music in the evening. The remaining events in the Bama-Q Grilling Series are: July 9 – Grilling in T’Town (Tuscaloosa, AL) July 30 – Grilling in the Hall of Fame City (Canton, OH) August 27 – Grilling on the Tracks (Opelika, AL) Sept. 3 – Cast Iron Battle at the Fort (Fort Gaines, Dauphin Island, AL) Oct. 1 – Hooked on the Bayou (Bayou La Batre, AL) Nov. 4-5 – Grilling at the Gulf Finale (Gulf Shores, AL)
