Asia – The Heat Of the Moment Tour

Geoffrey Downes, Virgil Donati, John Mitchell, and Harry Whitley form Asia 2024.
In the summer of 2023, Geoff Downes organized a memorial concert in honor of his late friend and Asia co-founder, John Wetton. The event featured rock veteran John Mitchell on lead guitar, who had previously collaborated with Wetton and Downes in Icon and Wetton’s band. They were joined by newcomer Harry Whitley, whose vocal prowess closely echoed Wetton’s. Together, they performed several of Asia’s hit songs to an enthusiastic reception, sparking Downes’ idea of reintroducing Asia’s music to a new audience.
The Year of the Dragon promises good fortune, abundance, and prosperity, much like it did in 1982 when Asia first debuted. Now, history repeats itself as Asia prepares to soar once more.
