March 14 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Ali Siddiq is a stand-up comedian and public speaker from Houston, Texas, known for his unique storytelling style that originated during his time behind bars. His experiences have shaped a distinctive comedic voice, earning him widespread recognition.
In 2022, Siddiq released two hour-long specials: The Domino Effect on YouTube and Unprotected Sets on EPIX. The Domino Effect quickly became one of the top five most-watched comedy specials of the year, amassing over 14 million views. The New York Times described it as “a genre-defying autobiographical epic.” In May 2023, he followed up with The Domino Effect Part 2: Loss, which has since garnered over 6 million views. The momentum continued into 2024 with two more installments in the series—The Domino Effect Part 3: First Day of School, premiering on YouTube in May with over 4 million views, and The Domino Effect Part 4: Pins & Needles, released in June with more than 3.5 million views. Looking ahead to 2025, Siddiq plans to release five additional hour-long specials, an unprecedented achievement in stand-up comedy.
Siddiq first gained national attention through appearances on HBO’s Def Comedy Jam and Live from Gotham. In 2013, Comedy Central named him its “#1 Comic to Watch,” and in 2014, he captivated audiences with his viral This Is Not Happening performance of Mexicans Got on Boots, a gripping account of a prison riot that has since surpassed 14 million views. His Comedy Central Half Hour special debuted in 2016, followed by Ali Siddiq: It’s Bigger Than These Bars in 2018, a full-hour special filmed in a Texas jail, returning him to the environment that shaped his storytelling.
Siddiq’s talent has taken him to the finals of NBC’s Bring the Funny in 2019, as well as a regular cast role on the reboot of Punk’d for Quibi. His insights and humor have been featured on The Joe Rogan Experience, 85 South, Kill Tony, Good Morning America, Uncle Joey’s Joint with Joey Diaz, Ari Shaffir’s Skeptic Tank, Bertcast, Pour Minds, and many other popular podcasts and shows.
