Great news for all you ice cream nuts out there!

Cammie’s Old Dutch Ice Cream Shoppe, a beloved local institution, is spreading its sweet joy to Fairhope.

They’re going to have a brand new location opening this spring.

This marks the third spot for the popular ice cream shop, and we couldn’t be happier to see this local business thriving!

Their new digs will be located in the former Biscuit King Building

And while this may be a new favorite for Fairhope locals and visitors, let’s not forget about the original Cammie’s at the corner of Florida and Old Shell in Mobile.

It’s the mothership that’s been winning hearts since 1969!

The story of Cammie’s Old Dutch is as rich as its ice cream.

It all started when Mr. Edwin Widemire started sharing his father’s cherished ice cream recipes at his store.

In 1998, Cammie Wayne, who had her first job at Old Dutch at sixteen, bought the shop, pouring all her passion into every scoop.

Then, in 2011, she and her husband Larry took the bold step of making all their ice cream on-site.

That makes them the only ice cream manufacturer and wholesaler in Mobile.

As we eagerly await the opening of the new location in Fairhope, it’s clear that Cammies isn’t just expanding its business —

It’s spreading love and community spirit.

So, get ready, Fairhope, for some of the best ice cream around.

And let’s celebrate another sweet milestone for this cherished local gem.

This is your sign to grab a scoop (or two)!
