Dauphin Island Campground

There’s lots of fun to be had 45 minutes from Mobile, AL.
Every member of your camping party will have something to do on Dauphin Island.
Visit the Audubon Bird Sanctuary if you enjoy bird-watching for some genuinely unique sightings.
Dauphin Island Campground has a quiet beach on the Gulf of Mexico for campers.

There’s a boat launch and an off-leash dog area, but it’s small enough to be on the safe side.

Maeher State Park
This 1,327-acre park offers a spectacular view of the Meaher Delta on the wetlands of Mobile Bay.
All of the waters in and around Meaher State Park are accessible thanks to modern camping facilities, a boat ramp, and a fishing pier (with fishing poles for rent).
It’s directly adjacent to Spanish Fort in the center of historic Mobile, AL, with RV and tent sites available, as well as a charming cabin to rent.
There are lovely pines, and the waterfront spaces are adequately spaced.
This is a hidden gem in the crown of Alabama.

This area is a terrific balance of beautiful natural surroundings and strong historical roots, with the ideal mix of day trippers and overnighters.
The politeness of the workers at Blakeley State Park has been mentioned in several publications as well (they were super cool when I recently overnight camped!)
The boat trips of the delta are amazing.
The bayside boardwalk is a sight to behold. Individual fire rings and picnic tables are available in the primitive sites, which are well-maintained.

Bella Terra of Gulf Shores

Bella Terra is located in the heart of Foley, Alabama, just a few minutes from Mobile.
It’s heavily featured in Mobile RV parks maps.
The park initially opened to the public in 2008, although it has since undergone extensive modifications.
With 40 acres of lush vegetation, the resort is pretty spectacular.
A 6000-square-foot clubhouse, an infinity pool, a state-of-the-art exercise facility, a business center, and private bathrooms with shower suites are among the many luxurious amenities.
It’s no surprise that the park has a customer satisfaction rating of 97%!
Despite all of its amenities, this park still provides some of the finest RV park rates in Mobile.

Coastal Haven
Coastal Haven is a tranquil country retreat just minutes from the bustle of Downtown Mobile.
The ocean is close, even though it does not have a long list of attractions.
You can pass the time by going fishing or boating.
The Central Clubhouse is a popular hangout for the locals.
This cash-only park is unpretentious, and it offers reasonable rates for people on a tight budget.

Chickasabogue Park
Chickasabogue Park is a water-centric park within a 15-minute drive from Mobile, AL, with cabins, in-water boat slips, and hike-in tent sites on Chickasaw Creek.
Despite its proximity to the city, the campground is located on a 1,100-acre state park and feels a world apart from the hustle and bustle of city life.
The swimming area has pathways almost all the way to the beach, but the ground is stable all the way down to the sand.
Wheelchairs, strollers, ice chests, and anything else on wheels can be used in this area.

Alabama Coast Campground

Take your friends and family to the nearby Alabama Coast Campground to experience the many facilities, such as beaches, amusement parks, and golf courses.
Pull-through and back-in RV sites with 30- and 50-amp service are available, as well as two areas with facilities at either end of the park.
This is a fantastic starting place for all of the sights in the vicinity. Best of all, this campground welcomes your furry family members as well!

Wales West RV Resort & Light Railway
RV travelers and campers flock to this park for more enjoyable winters and a convenient location from which to explore the Gulf Coast.
The narrow-gauge trains that still service isolated areas of Wales in Great Britain inspired the park’s name.
The locomotives and vehicles on those “light railways” are smaller, and train rides travel on a “narrow gauge.”
The space between the tracks is 2 feet instead of 4 feet and 812 inches on a regular train.
Wales West hosts special events at various times throughout the year. It has a long history of hosting live bluegrass music.
Any size RV will fit in the available spaces. The heated pool and hook-ups are just a few of the amenities.

Shady Acres Campground, located 1/2 mile off Interstate 10 Exit Number 22 in Mobile, is convenient for highway travelers as well as visitors to the area’s various activities and area attractions.
It’s located off the Dauphin Parkway along the Dog River and is easy to find and reach from downtown Mobile.
Shady Acres Campground has wide pull-thru and back-in sites to accommodate trailers and motor homes of various sizes.

This is a fantastic spot to stay for the night, week, or month.
