The Africatown Welcome Center is in the works, and guess what?
The City of Mobile and its awesome design team want YOUR feedback on the design!
Yup, they’re cooking up a central hub where visitors can take in Africatown’s history.
It’s also meant to highlight the last slave ship, Clotida.

Your opinions matter.
They’ve already picked a design concept based on what you had to say in the past.
Now, they’re eager to know what you think about the building’s exterior finishes, wall covering, and all those nitty-gritty design details.
Ready to share your thoughts?
There’s a second community survey open until August 11, 2023.
You can find it here.
Local stakeholders and Africatown community members, this is your chance to be heard and contribute to the design process.
