Downtown Mobile, O’Daly’s: Stay past 7:30 drinking $3 pints knowing that $1 of each one downed is going directly to fight Multiple Sclerosis. Drink more, help more.
August 30: The Band Perry:
Biloxi, Hard Rock Live: Many like to claim these band members being from Mobile. If you’re one, hop on over to Biloxi and enjoy them at the Hard Rock.
August 30: Elements, Monthly Hip Hop Showcase:
Downtown Mobile, Alabama Music Box: Digital Organix, Cyborganics, and More. The first ever beat battle will go down as well.
August 30: Battle of Mobile Bay Commemorative Day:
Dauphin Island, Fort Gaines: Fort Gaines soldier re-enactors are set to give oral accounts of the battle, a cannon salute every hour and blacksmith demonstrations throughout the day.
August 31: Nice Rack Ride:
Downtown Mobile, Cream and Sugar: There are 4 bars downtown that have some nice (bike) racks for their patrons and we will visit each of them in this semi-annual ride.
August 31: Labor Day 5k Run:
Orange Beach, Tacky Jack’s: 5k and 1 mile fun run. Sign up online by the 29th. As with most races, free food and beer after the race.
August 31: “Lipstick, Lies, and Alibis”:
Downtown Mobile, Carnival Museum: This is the latest Mobile Mystery Dinner Performance. Unlimited Wine Bar and Food during your time with them. Call for reservations.
August 31: Miss Flora Bama:
FL/AL, Flora Bama: This is the Grand Finale Final Bikini Contest with lots of cash prizes. Starting at 3pm.
September 1: 15 Place on Secret Millionaire:
Mobile: The show featuring a millionaire going into a local place and finding groups doing great good will air on Sunday and feature 15 Place in Mobile.
Through September 2: Castles in the Courtyard:
Downtown Mobile, Exploreum: Want to test out your sandcastle building skills? You’ll have your shot until September 2 – also a $10 flat rate for access to all exhibits through summer.
September 3: Flutopia:
Mobile, University of South Alabama: Seen Ron Burgundy play some jazz flute and you just couldn’t get enough? Check out this show where over 9 different flutes will be played.
