3/12: St. Paul’s Music Festival:
St. Paul’s Episcopal Church University of Montevallo Fifty Voice Concert Choir, Melinda S. Doyle, Director Program includes five of the Neue Liebeslieder Walzer, Op. 65, Johannes Brahms, The One Hundred Fiftieth Psalm, Howard Hanson, Exultate Deo, Hans Leo Hassler, Spirituals, and more!

 3/13: Government Street Forum:
Government St Presbyterian Church: The Government Street Forum is lunch and a speaker on Thursdays.  Lunch costs $7 and is served at noon; the forum begins at 12:30 p.m. No charge to attend the forum. This Thursday’s speaker is Rene Culler, Assistant Professor and Glass Program Coordinator, University of South Alabama.

 3/14-16: Jumbille Bargains Peek & Purchase:
57 N. Sage Ave. (parking) 85 N. Sage Ave. (Event): Join Junior League of Mobile as it hosts its third annual rummage sale!The Peek & Purchase preview sale will be on Friday, 3/14 from 6 to 8 p.m. This event allows patrons to shop early while enjoying soft drinks and popcorn in a family-friendly atmosphere. All proceeds benefit Junior League of Mobile, Inc.

3/14-15: 2014 Mobile Historic Homes Tour:
Oakleigh Garden Historic District (300 Oakleigh Place): The Historic Mobile Preservation Society presents seven private homes, all centered around Washington Square, for an open house walkable tour. Proceeds benefit the Historic Mobile Preservation Society.

3/15: 68th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Street Party:
Callaghan’s Irish Social Club: Celebrate St. Patty’s with green beer and live music from Kansas Bible Company and St. Paul and the Broken Bones in Oakleigh Garden District!

 3/15: Jason Aldean Concert:
The Amphitheater at the Wharf: Rock out to the country singer and his many hits, including “Amarillo Sky.” The concert will feature guests Florida-Georgia Line and Tyler Farr.

3/15: Spring Fever Chase:
Downtown Fairhope: Thomas Hospital + Wells Fargo are teaming up for the 36th Annual Spring Fever Chase which include a 10K and a 2 mile fun run/walk that winds through the beautiful downtown Fairhope overlooking Mobile Bay.

 3/15: Green Dress Run!
O’Daly’s Irish Pub, 564 Dauphin St.: Grab that green dress and join us for one the best 5K’s Mobile has to offer. All proceeds benefit Child Advocacy Center. Course starts at 564 Dauphin Street in downtown Mobile and runs through parts of midtown and finishes at 564 Dauphin Street.

3/16: Running with the Saints:
Saints’ Square, 161 Dogwood Lane: Get ready for a 2 mile certified course to support a good cause! If you are not a runner, register as a Saint Supporter. The post-race party on Quigley Field will include kids’ activities, awards ceremony for the winners & light refreshments for participants.

3/20: Bud and Brews:
Providence Hospital, Mobile: The 2nd Annual Buds & Brews event is held in conjunction with the Festival of Flowers to benefit the Providence Hospital Foundation. Lee Yankie and the Hellz Yeah Trio will be the musical entertainment for the night and you’ll be able to sample great beer from local breweries!

Upcoming event: 3/28: 2014 Village of Spring Hill Sidewalk-A-Thon
Village of Springhill, Mobile:  Get out and go for a 1.6 mile walk to raise money for new sidewalks in the City and to promote exercise! The registration fee is only $10, and you will receive a free t-shirt if you register by Thursday, March 13! Last year  they successfully raised $30,000 for new sidewalks, & used this money to secure a matching grant in the amount of $150,000 for new sidewalks.
