03/27 – 03/30: Plantasia Plant Sale:
Botanical Gardens: Thousands of plants, including vegetables, herbs, and fruits, will be for sale at the Plantasia! All plants are especially selected for the Gulf Coast climate, many varieties are grown on site by MBG greenhouse volunteers.
3/28: 2014 Village of Spring Hill Sidewalk-A-Thon:
Village of Springhill, Mobile: Get out and go for a 1.6 mile walk to raise money for new sidewalks in the City and to promote exercise! The registration fee is only $10, and you will receive a free t-shirt if you register by Thursday, March 13! Last year they successfully raised $30,000 for new sidewalks, & used this money to secure a matching grant in the amount of $150,000 for new sidewalks.
03/28: Colonial Day at Fort Conde:
Family Friendly. Take it back in time! See demonstrations including candle making, cooking, blacksmithing, and sword fighting. Admission is only $1.
03/28: The Bad Seed Play:
Joe Jefferson Playhouse: Mobile Native, William March’s novel was published in 1954 with the setting inspired by the Antoinette Apartments of Mobile and the plot will leave you on the edge of your seat.
SGA Pavilion, University of South Alabama Campus: Set Your Pace 5K Run/Walk” It’s on March 29th at 8am at the USA intramural fields and being put on by the Harrison School of Pharmacy. We’ll have music, food, door prizes, great goodie bags, all that. And it benefits Ozanam Charitable Pharmacy!
03/29 – 03/30: Easter Basket Boutique and Fundraiser:
The Greater Gulf State Fairgrounds: This is a fundraiser for McKemie Place, Mobile’s only homeless shelter for women. Come on out and enjoy yourself, all the while supporting a great cause.
04/01: Southern Soul Assembly:
Saenger Theatre: Four talented songwriters together on one stage for an amazing night of stories and songs, inspired by the roots of Southern Rock, Gospel, Funk and Blues.
