1/8/14: Networking at the Chamber:
Mobile Chamber of Commerce: Networking@Noon is a bi-monthly event offering members 45 seconds to introduce themselves and their business. Following a brief presentation, introductions and lunch, attendees are invited to continue to network.The event is limited to Mobile Area Chamber members only, and one representative per company.
1/9/14: Family Game Night:
Saraland Public LIbrary: For all ages; board games, card games and puzzles. The fun starts at 6 PM! Gather your kiddos and head to the public library!
1/10/14: Opening: Cyrano de Bergerac:
Joe Jefferson Playhouse, 11 S. Carlen Street: This swashbuckling tale of adventure and romance is by Edmond Rostand and directed by Jim Faust. It promises to be one you’ll not want to miss!
1/11/14: Black Jacket Symphony: The Beatles:
Mobile Civic Center: Relive the ’60s with the Black Jacket Symphony as it presents “The Beatles Abbey Road.” Tickets range from $18 – $28. Get your tickets now!
1/12/14: Dauphin Way United Methodist Church Centennial Celebration:
Dauphin Way United Methodist Church: This church will celebrate 100 years of ministry in the Mobile community on 1/12 at 0:30 a.m. with a special worship service. The service will include participation by former senior ministers, glorious music by all choirs, and sermon by Bishop B. Michael Watson.
1/12/14: Mobile Jewish Film Festival:
Springhill Avenue Temple, 1769 Spring Hill Ave: The first film showing is Besa – The Promise. A guest speaker will include the film Producer Jason Williams. Viewing starts at 3 PM. On 1/14, the MJFF will show Suskind, a best feature film at the Atlanta Jewish Film Festival. A post film discussion led by Roy Hoffman will be held!
1/12/14: First Light Marathon:
Atrium of Government Plaza, Downtown Mobile: Run for a cause beneath a canopy of oaks in the heart of downtown Mobile. The event consists of a full marathon, a half marathon, a five-person relay and a 1.2 mile fun run for both runners and walkers. Proceeds benefit L’Arche Mobile Foundation. Layer up!
