1/22-1/23: Basic Watercolors 101:
Daphne Art Center: Learning to paint in watercolor should be fun!  Don’s new workshop is geared specifically for the beginner to intermediate artist eager to learn in a no stress studio environment.  You can expect to gain a basic watercolor foundation so vital to growth in your painting life—no stress, no fear, lots of fun, lots of demos and personal guidance.

1/24: Coca Cola Meet the Players:
The Mobile Convention Center: On Friday of Senior Bowl week, fans get to interact, get an autograph and snap a picture with their favorite player! For information on when specific players will be attending the event go to seniorbowl.com.

1/25: Heritage Arts and Camellia Festival:
Baldwin County Heritage Museum: Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy local history presentations and breathtaking floral displays! Oh and it’s free!

1/25: Reese’s Senior Bowl:
Ladd-Peebles Stadium: Watch some of the nation’s most talented college football players, including Alabama’s CJ Mosley, Clemson’s Tahj Boyd and Auburn’s Chris Davis, play in the battle between the North and South.

1/25: Rugby at the Battleship:
The Battleship Parkway: 11am.  Rugby Football Club of Mobile, AL, plays host to the Tallahassee Rugby Football Club – the Conquistadors of Tallahassee, FL.  This is a highly anticipated match-up for both clubs as they both jockey for position and look to make a statement early in the D3 True South matrix.

1/25: Run for Shep:
Bounds Family YMCA, Daphne:  Help support a young child who was recently diagnosed with leukemia. RUN FOR SHEP will include a 5K and  a 1/2 mile FUN RUN. Bring your kids or enjoy a jog or brisk walk in the great outdoors. The fun will continue at the Bounds YMCA with bouncy fun in “jumpy things,” as… well as hotdogs, chips and special promotions/coupons from local businesses. Your kids can even climb on a pink fire truck! It’s not too late to register!

1/27: WBCSA Basics:
Women’s Business Center, Mobile: This no-cost workshop covers what the Women’s Business Center of Southern Alabama can do to help you start your business.  If you do not have a written business plan, sign up for one of our bi-weekly WBCSA Basics classes and find out the steps to opening and growing your business.

1/28: 177th Annual Meeting of Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce:
Mobile Civic Center: The Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce will host its 177th Annual Meeting on Tuesday, January 28,2014 from 5:30 to 8:30 pm at the Mobile Civic Center. Member and potential members are welcome!
