Gulf Coast Exploreum: Come celebrate the official opening of crawfish season on the Gulf Coast with an event that all proceeds benefit Discover Science, the Exploreum’s program with the Mobile Housing Board to provide underserved children engaging educational science experiences including IMAX film, lab demonstrations and science camps! 4/5: Wilmer Hall Annual Pancake Breakfast:
Wilmer Hall, 3811 Old Shell Rd: Pancakes, conecuh sausage, & carpe diem coffee will be served at 7 AM until 11 AM. After breakfast,get in a few activities like pancake toss, face painting and jumping in an inflatable jump! Special appearances by Jag football head coach, Joey Jones, and Azalea Trail Maids!
4/5: Mobile’s Battleship Rugby Faceoff:
USS Battleship Memorial Park: Come cheer on Mobile’s Battleship Rugby as they face off in their last home match against the Tallahassee Conquistadors in a battle for first place on Saturday, April 5th at 1 PM!
04/5: The Inaugural Firkin Fest:
Moe’s BBQ, downtown Mobile: 10 local and regional breweries will be featured for a one-of-a-kind sampling experience using Firkins (10.8 gallon steel beer barrel). Music will feature Eric Lindell and Keller Williams later that night. You can purchase festival tickets, stand alone concert passes, or combo tickets ($22 – $35). You can win tickets here.
4/6: Just Desserts!:
Oakleigh Historic Complex, 350 Oakleigh Place: This Sunday afternoon preview of Spring Settings at Oakleigh – a tablescape exhibit! Local antique dealers, designers, and gift shop owners display lovely tablescapes in each room of Oakleigh during the month of April. After touring Oakleigh enjoy our dessert buffet. Proceeds benefit the Oakleigh Historic Complex.
4/6: Bride Against Breast Cancer Charity Wedding Gown Sale & Expo:
Battle House Hotel & Spa: Calling ALL Mobile area brides and guests! Come browse through hundreds of new and lovingly worn designer and couture wedding gowns, all at an incredible savings. Gowns range from $99 to $3,900, are available in all styles and in sizes 4-18. Portions of proceeds benefit breast cancer research and awareness.
4/6: Local Goodness – Fundraiser for USA Children’s & Women’s Hospital:
USA Children’s & Women’s Hospital Park, 1700 Center St.: This unique farm to table experience starts at 4pm in Geri Moulton Children’s Park. At this casual party in the park, sponsored by Hancock Bank, guests will dine on local meats, seafood and produce as they enjoy authentic bluegrass music performed by local band Fat Man Squeeze. Funds raised will help redesign the Evaluation Center in the ER that sees over 35,000 patients annually, 90% of them children.
4/6: La Tour de Coop:
Cream & Sugar Cafe: Calling all bicycling Chickenists! Come on out for Mobile’s annual chicken spirit revival, an open house coop tour on bicycles! Have you been curious about the growing hobby of backyard chicken husbandry? Want to find out about different coop styles and different breeds? The ride is slow paced and social for a variety of ages and abilities. Don’t miss it!
4/8: Taste of Rotary:
Fairhope Civic Center, 61 N. Section St.: Come out and support the Rotary Club! Raffle tickets will be sold for the chance to win a 55” Samsung Smart TV and other live auction items! Speciality dishes from 25 area restaurants will also be available! All proceeds benefit Fairhope/Point Clear Rotary Youth Club & other area charitable groups!

Mobile Tennis Center, 851 Gaillard Dr.: The 9th Annual Serve It Up With Love Tennis Tournament welcome you to come on out and support a Great Tournament in our Community that benefits the Mobile Child Advocacy Center. The money raised helps fund services for abused children in our community.

Fort Whiting Auditorium: Mercedez Benz of Mobile presents the 5th annual Little Black Dress “LBD No. 5,” a fast-paced New York styled runway show and cocktail party benefiting Mobile’s “House That Love Built” – Ronald McDonald House. The event features 50 runway McModels who are local women sponsored by local area businesses and individuals modeling fashions by Dillard’s. Don’t miss out!
Upcoming event: 4/12: Breakfast with the Easter Bunny:
Bellingrath Gardens and Home: Join the hunt, activities and of course the Easter Bunny at the Magnolia Cafe. There will be two seatings; the first seating will be at 8:30 AM and the second seating will be at 9:00 AM. The Cafe staff will be prepare and serve pancakes, sausage patties, and yummy fruit. Reservations encouraged + don’t forget to grab a photo with the Easter Bunny!
